My home is almost ten years old…started with the basics in decorating my kitchen. Now I have the opportunity to revamp it…colors I have chosen are in the teal family. My friend suggested browns, reds, earthy tones. I have looked at hobby lobby, michaels, Ross, etc. but can not find anything interesting. Does anyone know where I can find such items at discount or do it yourself stores?????
Any themes that I should go with????
Where can I buy Star Trek hobby/model kits?
Hi! I would like to buy a few Star Trek hobby kits (USS Enterprise 1701 & 1701-A). I am quite a beginner, so I would prefer to start on cheaper (if less accurate) models to get the feel of it, then progress on. Is there a website or store that sells model kits at a reasonable price (since I will probably spoilt the first few)?
I don’t mind getting “old” kits eg AMT/ERTL kits although I prefer not to buy over Ebay as I have no experience with it.
Thanks!
Why is it when your married partner asks you that they want to buy something than gets mad when you say no?
I pay all the bills though both of us contribute to the household income. The item in question is on discount and because it is part of their hobby. It is not something that is needed in the home as they already have a smaller one but just WANT it because it is bigger. and on sale. I was asked if they could buy it I said no and now they are mad at me. I told them that we need other items at this time and the money should go for that. Why do they do that? Why ask at all?
Dave offers Eva a discount on purchases from Dave’s store if Eva will not tow the cars of Dave’s customers…?
Dave’s Hobby Town and Eva’s Yarn Shoppe are adjacent stores with adjoining parking lots. Dave offers Eva a discount on purchases from Dave’s store if Eva will not tow the cars of Dave’s customers who park in Eva’s lot.
Dave’s discount is legally sufficient consideration:
1. only if Eva uses it.
2. under no circumstances.
3. only if Dave adds a cash rebate.
4. because it is a promise of something of value.
Who has the cheapest brokerage fees for small $ traders?
I want to take $1,000 and start trading (just as a hobby), but if I’m paying $7 per trade (or even $4) there’s no way that I could make any profit because of my small dolllar amount and frequency of trades (I want to trade, not hold onto long term investments). What are the absolute cheapest discount brokers? Alternatively, are there any brokers that charge a flat fee per month as opposed to a commission on each trade?
I want to get into the gas model car hobby i like the turner look any suggestions for a rookie?
Is this an infringement issue?
I am just starting up a small business in face painting (getting licensing, insurance…yadda yadda…) I have been doing this for over 10 years as a hobby and casually had been using a “business name” to call myself when I set up at local festivals.
Now that I’m making my business official, I just filed this name as my fictitious business name with my county here in California and they told me it was available to use. After looking up online…there is another face painter in Utah who uses the exact same name. I have asked different resources and get different answers…some say it’s OK because they are not federally trademarked and that it’s in a different state and some say I could get sued for common law infringement.
Does anyone out there really know and give me advice about this situation? I appreciate it tons! Thanks!

Considering there are a million “ABC Animal Hospitals” across the country…to me it seems like fictitious or DBA names aren’t a big deal?
How do I negotiate a retail sales account deal?
As a hobby I make handcrafted bath & body items for family & friends. Recently I was asked to supply a local retailer with a large volume of my products. I can supply the product, my question is how do I handle the sale? Should I sell the product at wholesale or should I sell the product at retail and offer some type of volume discounting? Like 5 or 10% off, also should I ask for a deposit, and if so how much, thanks.
How can I make model rocketry into a unique hobby?
It seems fun, but all you do is assemble the little pieces out of a kit and blow up the rocket.
Where can I find clear glass heart-shaped ornaments?
I’m looking for the clear ornaments that you can paint yourself by swirling paint inside, but I would prefer to have the heart-shaped ones rather than round. I’ve looked at Michael’s, JoAnn’s, Hobby Lobby, Ben Franklin, the Christmas Depot, Sunshine Discount Crafts, Oriental Trading Company. So far the only place I have found them was on eBay. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Looking for a hobby magazine that is strictly about radio controlled model helicopters?
I am looking for a hobby magazine that’s just about radio controlled helicopters. I have a copy of Fly RC, and it looks good, but it covers radio controlled model airplanes mostly. Sense R/C helicopters are much harder to master, it looks like there would be a hobby magazine that is devoted to the radio controlled helicopter hobby. Ideally I would like a magazine that would not only cater to the experienced R/C helicopter pilots, but would help the newbies like myself as well. There are just so many models out there for the beginner to chose from. The Chinese imports alone are too numerous to count, and their affordable! Then there are the hop-up parts, a whole cottage industry has sprung up around, making improvements in the basic Chinese imports. Can anybody give me an Internet site that will list all of the radio controlled helicopter hobby magazines? I know there must be several out there.
Just for fun….Its will be fun so click!!!!!?
