I work as a researcher, and thus I spend most of my working hours sitting before my PC. When I feel like doing something different, I usually check my email and news. Given the huge potentials of the Internet, there must be for sure much more interesting things to do. What do you think are other fun and useful things to do on the Internet?

new hobbies?
i need a new hobby. i already play guitar and 6 years+ of piano.
i am a boy scout, but i want to quit because i don't find it fun and there is a swimming merit badge. and i hate swimming and suck at it. i like to play sports like basketball, and am pretty good, but not the greatest. i am teaching myself french and am fluent in hindi and english. any other hobbies to replace scouting.
oh and i also like phtotography.
