So I grew up at the beginning of the video game generation and have been playing games all my life for the most part, I’m almost 30. I have other interests and activities that I like to do such as basketball, working out, and reading, but I’m looking for a new hobby to replace the time I spend playing games. Something that can be done by myself and doesn’t require other people, since when I usually play is when it’s either too late to do things with others, or people are just not available. Also, preferrably something that doesn’t require A LOT of money, but I’m willing to spend some money. Ideas?
Looking for some new hobbies, any ideas?

sky diving and extreme sports are actually kind of cheap. in my area there is a jump package which includes a class for a couple of hundred.

What about cycling? Or metal detecting or maybe rock climbing?
Another one is play chess against yourself? what about counting stars in the galaxy at night.

Try a sport that you have always wanted to try……..maybe GOLF……you don’t have to buy clubs but you can go to a driving range and spend about 20 dollars + 10 for the clubs offered so you’ll sped bout 30-40 bucks

Not sure if you are looking for a sedentary or more physically challenging hobby.
Have you considered: jigsaw puzzles, photography, cooking.
If you like to travel you might consider learning a new language. Personally I create handmade greeting cards.
You may want to ask yourself some basic questions-
Are you looking for a creative outlet or just something to pass the time? Do you want the end product to be something you can share with others or a new learning experience? Think about when you get lost in what you’re doing and lose track of time – is this something you want to do more of?
