Keep it basic and what pertains to the job. No one has the right to ask you personal questions about your family or hobbies. But if you know the interviewer has a special interest such as he/she is a golfer, and so are you, mention that. If you guys spend sometime in the interview talking about that, then they might hire you on the basis that you are easy to get along with.
