My home is almost ten years old…started with the basics in decorating my kitchen. Now I have the opportunity to revamp it…colors I have chosen are in the teal family. My friend suggested browns, reds, earthy tones. I have looked at hobby lobby, michaels, Ross, etc. but can not find anything interesting. Does anyone know where I can find such items at discount or do it yourself stores?????

if i am not working i tend to go to the pub with my friends and drink lots and i mean LOTS of beer. i am 30 years old i work quite A lot and holiday to Thailand often. i am learning to speak Thai already, but would really like to stay out of the pub! i go to the gym already also but these things only take an hour or so….. when i go to the pub i am in there for 12 hours. i need a time consuming hobby! anyone have any ideas?

Background info: Because my wife isn’t sure what she wants to get her degree in and I am close to finishing, we decided that I would go to school and she would work to put me through school and then we’ll switch once I get a job using my degree.
I’ve noticed that she often gets excited for my accomplishments (ie: got an A on a paper, or made Dean’s list, etc…) and although she likes her job i’d like some hobby ideas i could float for her so she can be proud of her own short-term accomplishments. She took one class last semester and enjoyed it, but i think she wants something that she won’t really have homework in. She’s interested in dancing and that’s a strong candidate right now, but we’re very interested in other possible ideas.
Basically, something she could do once a week (maybe for a few hours on Saturday or Sunday) that has some element of progress to it…any ideas are appreciated as we’re just brainstorming. I want her to be able to say “Guess what I did?!” when she calls her mom on sunday nights and be proud of herself. Thanks in advance.

so my grandma is 90 years old but can out run most 60year olds. i have moved in with her because she gets panic attacks about living alone. SHES DRIVING ME INSANE!!!!! she buzzes around everything i do and must fix or touch up or alter EVERYTHING im not exagerating we went and got her 13 new blouses yesturday. idk why so many but thats what she wanted. she is now taking them all apart. some shes altering the sleeve length others taking the collar off, changing the sewing design on the front ect. to ALL of them!!! i NEED to find her a hobby. but the problem is she literally hates leaving the house and openly voices that she hates most people. this makes it hard. so is there any hobbies for older women that arent sewing,croque,knitting,etc? that she can do? even if it only takes up half an hour of her day. shes sooooo bored and in result driving me mad. she proceeds to go into my room while i am at work and rearange my drawers! she goes through my closet an RE-irons my clothes! idk what to do i seriously need some help before i go insane! and she’s so voiced and fiesty that talking to her about “boundaries” is impossible DISPITE the fact that i moved in for HER benefit. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help!!!! thanks so much!

It is very frustrating to find your self at almost 40 and in a relationship that allows time for yourself, and don’t have anything to do? much less already have plans of your own? I Loooove being out and about, just haven’t had much exposure outside of the local. Definitely not a sheltered life, actually a little adventerous some might say. I’m just not looking for those kind of adventures anymore. I don’t really have any “interests”. There are activities that I enjoy, but I wouldn’t call them “interests” or hobbies. I’m just not that artsy-craftsy, into board games, or sports. If a man goes somewhere on his own, if it is in his character he can easily join in conversation or groups without much of a problem. On the other hand if a woman does this she is usually suspect of either being motivated sexually or just plain weird and to be avoided. Where do you go? What do you do? When your outgoing but have nowhere to go????

something cool. im bored while my hubbys is gone. (i do other stuff too like work overtime, hang w friends, take courses but i just want something fun to do like scrapbooking or somethng creative)
