Is this an infringement issue?

I am just starting up a small business in face painting (getting licensing, insurance…yadda yadda…) I have been doing this for over 10 years as a hobby and casually had been using a “business name” to call myself when I set up at local festivals.
Now that I’m making my business official, I just filed this name as my fictitious business name with my county here in California and they told me it was available to use. After looking up online…there is another face painter in Utah who uses the exact same name. I have asked different resources and get different answers…some say it’s OK because they are not federally trademarked and that it’s in a different state and some say I could get sued for common law infringement.
Does anyone out there really know and give me advice about this situation? I appreciate it tons! Thanks!

Additional Details
Considering there are a million “ABC Animal Hospitals” across the country…to me it seems like fictitious or DBA names aren’t a big deal?

Is this what feminism does to women? Adults playing with fake babies?

To me this is just creepy:
WASHINGTON – Many people like to stop and play with newborn babies, but now some adult women are playing house with fake babies.
Some women are even going as far as taking day trips with the fake babies to the park, out to eat, and even hosting birthday parties for them.

Forty-nine-year-old Linda is married with no children of her own. Now, she says she feels like a mother because she has Reborns — dolls made to look and feel like the real thing. ABC 7 Talkback:

“It’s not a crazy habit, like, you know, drinking, or some sort of, something that’s going to hurt you. It’s like a hobby.and it doesn’t really hurt anybody,” Linda said.

These women are paying big bucks for this hobby, from $100 to a few thousand dollars. For Reborn owner Lachelle Moore, the fake babies fill a void.

“What’s so wonderful about Reborns is that, um, they’re forever babies,” said Moore, who has grown children and grandchildren. “There’s no college tuition, no dirty diapers… just the good part of motherhood,” she added.

In her Kansas City home, Moore even has an elaborate room for the dolls. She organizes birthday parties, bakes a cake and even invites guests.

Psychologists say there could be a problem if and when these women stop interacting socially with others in their life.

Because it is like just a hobby and I really want to write as a career. I know the books have to be best seller for me to get payed allot! But I really love telling stories and making characters and I like taking readers on journeys…. Should I just go for being a writer and gain confidence??? do you know people who are writers and living well?

Would you accept this new different kind of me if you were my best friends ?

I’m feeling some guilt right now because i feel like i have not been so truthful with all of my friends. I’m an guy who has an interest in cross dressing in girls clothing because girls clothing are awesome and hot and sexy. I don’t know why I like girls clothing but I’m sure that I’m 100 % straight. I love girls clothing and shoes such as dresses and skirts and girl’s shoes like stiletto high heels, I’ve seen girls wear those type clothing and shoes all of the time and it kinda influenced me. I started purchasing girls clothing from local department stores and local shoe stores for high heels. I actually wear those dresses and heels i bought in my room at my home but it started to get more than just a hobby. Lately, the cross dressing hobby has been eating me alive and i feel like i have to constantly dress in girls clothing. I’m 17 and I’m in high school and sometimes when I am having lunch with my friends in men clothing ,my female girly side would suddenly come out and i would talk about high heels. I would say like that girl looks hot in those shoes and i like those shoes and my friends would look at me weirdly and starting poking gay jokes at me. I feel like I don’t want to live a double life anymore and i want to be myself. I’ve decided to come out to school dressed up as a girl from head to toe including a wig, mascara and makeup and lipstick and stiletto heels. Would you accept this new different kind of me if you were my friends ??? I’m very sweet and kind and i don’t have a rude attitude at all and I’m always nice to people and I never cuss.

How many plan to run trains around the Christmas tree this year?

Trains have been running under trees for most of a century now. It’s time to dig them out and do a little service work. Clean the tracks with a green scrubby and oil the motor and gears. Check the wires from the transformer to the track, if it’s missing any insulation replace it. Model Railroading the hobby that lasts a life time.

Transit Company. I found something when I searched Yahoo Members Directory. It sez he is in Brunei. The man I have had to deal with is in Yaounde but maybe he comes from Brunei.

I’m hobby- (or fetish) shopping.
As I have already tried almost everything under the sun; yes, I admit to even storing a warehouse-full of Dixie plates in my attic =:-o I’m considering a new or unusual(??) hobby.
How about some “creative” use for DUCT TAPE?
I’m searching for any “active(?)” Club or Organization that is based around this ingenious repair device.
