Do you know any young men that Ballroom dance? Younger men do you find it lame?

20 May

It seems it is only popular for the older men. It is a expensive hobby that part I can understand. Not to many young bucks can afford 50 dollars a hour. It seems not many men my age Ballroom dance. That age I am is 19. I try to find a good dance partner, but all of them are just in it to pick up girls. Those men are not reliable.

Men,that are in their perhaps, early 20s-teens do you think Ballroom dancing is lame?Trust me their some good looking girls a man can get if he can dance. I have seen them, they look like super models! My dance instructors n his 70s he gets woman in their 30s. Attractive woman to!

best part of toronto to live in for a young single guy trying to get a life?

18 Mar

here’s my situation:

-i’m 28, single, and employed as an engineer in SW mississauga
-brown east indian but born & raised in canada (from the hammer)
-i’m been living with my parents in the burbs in the same house for the last 22 years, in a very uptight, white washed, older neighborhood (typical oakville/burlington south of the QEW) – never really fit in.
-i’m on the path of conquering social anxiety and want to live life
-i’m looking to have “fun” for a year, meet new people, make new friends before going back to school for an advanced degree or just leaving the country or both
-my main hobbies are basketball, working out (strength training, i’m a gym rat, so I need to live near a really good gym that isn’t too busy after 8:30), listening to music (good stuff, think marvin gaye, common, devin the dude, tenor saw, janelle monae, dennis brown, etc.), reading books
-i’m kinda trendy, but not materialistic, i’d also like to be involved in a lot of charitable activies, and opportunities for big brothering and things of that nature…

So I’m asking based on the above, what part of toronto would be a good place for me to live in, grow and meet new people?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The Beaches? Nice area, but a bit too east for me. I work in SW mississauga.

Best place to live around Boulder for a young rock-climbing couple with limited budget?

12 Mar

We would like to move from Pittsburgh to Boulder in the fall. Our hobbies are backpacking/hiking, climbing, outdoor activities, chilling at dive bars and photograghy. We don’t have scads of money (just starting out), but still want to live in a cute/safe place. Prefer to have some nature and privacy, but not be too far away from stores and modern conveniences. Any reccommendations? Any places to steer clear of?
